Fiber Processing & Homesteading
I focus on your custom blends of fiber from sheep, alpaca, llama, angora rabbit and goats. We offer scouring, dehairing, carding, yarn and rug yarn. Here are our prices.
ENGLISH ANGORA RABBITS
I have come to focusing on the tricolor and harlequin colors. I also produce yarns from these exquisitely soft and fine wooled bunnies. I am always grooming and tending to new litters of kits. Check out the bunnies page or follow me on Instagram for current pictures!
FINE WOOL CORMO & CVM SHEEP
I have just a small flock of 3 Cormo Ewes & 5 CVM Ewes and a gorgeous Cormo ram who is really putting the staple length on his lambs. I sell wool beginning after shearing until its gone. Visit my Etsy site for availability.
Llamas are, after all, the reason I became interested in fibers. I have shown llamas since a kid. I maintain a small herd and intend to get back in the ring once my kids are old enough to help.
My husband is very proud of his Limousin beef herd and takes pride in his breeding program.
My husband Brandan & I (Lindsay) are the 5th generation to farm on this homestead. Our kids, with good intentions, will be the 6th. We have learned early in life that what matters most is doing what you love. Hardwork and determination will play a big role in the success of our future. Brandan has farmed his whole life and can remember as a child that all feild work was done with horses. That means over the past 30 years we've (the Kurths) upgraded and purchased a lot of equipment to run a 60 head cow and calf operation. Since Brandan & I married in 2011, there has been serveral improvements and expansions. We keep our farm diversified with the beef, hay and corn crops, the fiber mill, GNP chicken barns, hogs and custom baling. We also keep busy with our kids, Alexis (5), Anna (3), and Sawyer (1).
We are advocates of doing local business and supporting our local (or at least USA's) economy. As our income is based on your demand, we know a job well done creates happy and return customers.

Please call ahead to make an appointment for fiber drop off or pick up. I am usually in the mill Monday-Thursday and occasionally Fridays. However, I do not live at the same address as the mill. I'd hate to miss you!
